Reverse living - living in the light

Built in the late 1960's, the house has been cleverly remodeled by the architect owner.   Glazed elevations and reflective lighting create a dramatic interior, reminiscent of the Bauhaus and mid-century Scandinavia.

Brief: to design an expansive linea kitchen on the first floor of this bright open plan reverse living house.  The furniture is plinth based with a projecting top element.  A monocrome scheme of contrasting and broken symetry is sofened by the panoramic views of the woodland garden that circle the building.

The working zones are at the centre of the design and evolve outwards into more flexible living and dining.
